About Mt Hood Center

Mt Hood Center was built in 1974 as an expansive horse barn with indoor and outdoor arena spaces to serve the local equine community. MHC put its name on the map by hosting many formal events for large associations such as the Oregon Quarter Horse Association, the NW Saddlebred Association, and BR4ND. It has also been a practice and event space for local Oregon High School Equestrian Teams (OHSET) and 4H groups.

Over the years the property experienced multiple changes in ownership, and the facilities eventually became run down and unusable. In 2018, the current owner took on the vision of updating the entire property - not only restoring the facility for equestrian activities, but also revitalizing and creating multiple venues and programs to support and enrich the Clackamas County community and the Pacific Northwest.

Our vision is to create a social hub aimed towards community growth and enrichment. We not only want to provide an amazing equine experience, but also create other events, attractions, and opportunities for local businesses and community members.

Our beautiful, 18-acre campus is the ideal location for a variety of public and private uses. We have hosted concert series, rodeos, weddings, parties, farmers markets, and more. Today we continue to expand our unique property and are eagerly planning new ways to engage small businesses, our local community, and the equestrian world.
